DAY 01–15Get the facts ready
Owner: business lead + product lead. Verify the selling entity, bank and tax details, rights documents, brand record, SKU identifiers, kit contents, battery specifications, and package measurements. Cost each SKU.
Gate The product record and rights packet are complete enough to support an accurate application and listing.
DAY 16–30Build and rehearse
Owner: content + store operations. Finish each model’s listing assets. Configure account shipping, inventory synchronization, returns, and messaging. Send test parcels and run a return through the process.
Gate Correct SKU, complete kit, working tracking, measured cost, and no inventory mismatch in the rehearsal.
DAY 31–60Run the Amazon pilot
Owner: channel manager. Publish approved offers, cap the test budget, review orders daily, and log listing questions, delivery issues, returns, and actual contribution. Correct problems before adding volume.
Gate Four consecutive weeks of positive measured contribution and operations within the account’s current performance requirements.
DAY 61–90Expand one channel at a time
Owner: business lead + channel manager. Decide whether Walmart, eBay, or a small affiliate pilot is the next best use of capacity. Add parts only when their shipping economics work.
Gate Team capacity, stock depth, and cash cover the expansion. If they do not, stay with the pilot and fix the limiting issue.
The weekly scorecard
Orders and conversion; contribution after ads and returns; inventory accuracy; on-time carrier handoff and delivery; valid tracking; cancellations; support response time; return reasons; cash tied up in stock. Use each marketplace’s live account rules for required thresholds. The four-week gate above is our proposed internal decision rule.
